Shabs was raised between India and Guildford in  Surrey. He was educated in India  &  UK.He did his early years art training at his boarding school in north India . He was gifted as a child with a ability and a knack for drawing /painting .
Though he had his formal education in science ( BSC physics ) people have always known Shabs as an artist from school through to university and colleagues at work in India  and here in the uk . 
He is a self taught artist who started his career with a newspaper as a cartoonist /illustrator in north India from the age of 19 . He was illustrating for a children's magazine and ran his own cartoon column for four years in a English daily in north India . 

Over the last 25 years he has  sold his artworks in England, USA, India ,Middle East and HonKong .
His favourite medium is acrylic on canvas .His choice of work is mainly abstract on canvases . But he has had commissions for murals as well as fine art work .He has a uncanny ability to convey the essence of the subject he is painting .He works at a fast pace .Watching him paint is like watching a matador in a bull fight . He attacks his canvases and steps back to observe .And then back at it .
Most of his works are done in one sitting that might take from a few hours to a day at the most .
He hasn't got one specific style of work . With the change in the medium and the subject his style changes .
Mostly the strokes are intense bursts of energy engaging with the canvas like a bull would engage with a matador in a bull fight . 
By nature shabs is a intense compassionate vibrant full of life character /artist . 
He is a bit biased towards nature and the colour blue . 
He is a born artist who paints every day in his studio in Altrincham .

He was commissioned to do a few murals for a architect firm and a five star hotel  in India and another mural for a architects firm in Delhi .
He did his first solo exhibition in Delhi in a Australian and New Zealand bank .
Over the years he has sold artworks ( paintings ,digital art,  prints,  murals  )  to hotels ,architects, Interior designers and to the  the individual collectors .
